The all-new BRZ features the iconic front-engine/rear-wheel drive sports car configuration, which lays the foundation for a more sizzling exterior design. From the muscular stance to the aerodynamically sculpted fenders, inlets and wings, the second-generation BRZ looks fast even when standing still. The new design incorporates a super low centre of gravity, low curb weight and near perfect weight distribution, characteristics that create a razor-sharp 2+2 engineered for more sheer fun behind the wheel.

Reengineered, More Engaging Cabin

The passenger cabin is completely redesigned—and is hotter, more stylish and driver-focused than ever. The dashboard layout and air vents resemble those found on iconic sports cars of the past. The interior trim and finishes are higher-grade. The seats are reengineered for more comfort and support, even when carving corners. The new digital instrument panel is designed for quick recognition and allows the driver to customize the gauge display. The new infotainment system creates seamless connectivity and offers a wide variety of on-the-fly entertainment options. And all the controls, many of them reengineered for improved function, are placed within easy reach to optimize the connection between driver and car.

All-New 2.4L SUBARU BOXER® Engine

The all-new 2022 Subaru BRZ features a new, larger and more potent 2.4-litre SUBARU BOXER® engine. This potent powerplant generates 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, a jump of 11% and 18%, respectively, over the previous engine. The result: adrenaline pumping acceleration out of every corner accompanied by that classic horizontally opposed growl.

Race-Tested, Performance-Tuned Suspension

For the all-new, second-generation BRZ, the MacPherson® strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension have been expertly retuned by the engineers at Subaru. The goal was to improve cornering capability even further, so the rear track was widened and suspension mounting points were reinforced. Mission accomplished: The new BRZ now boasts even more precise handling, stability and driver engagement.

Exceptional Response and Handling

The all-new chassis and body have been reengineered for increased strength, reduced weight and a lower center of gravity. In terms of strength, the new design features 50% greater torsional rigidity and 60% more front lateral rigidity. These characteristics, combined with the quick 13.5:1 steering ratio, give the new BRZ a smooth, direct feel for the drive—and a near-instantaneous response to the road.

Subaru Advanced Safety Technologies

New for the 2022 model year is the available Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology system, which includes Pre-Collision Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control for extra peace of mind. Also available is SUBARU STARLINK® Connected Services, an advanced suite of safety and security features, such as Enhanced Roadside Assistance and Automatic Collision Notification, to help keep you connected and get you back on the road.

Track-Inspired Brakes, Wheels and Tires

The all-new BRZ features 17-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment, with available 18-inch alloy wheels and Michelin® Pilot Sport 4 tires. Similarly, the braking system has been upgraded to provide increased stopping power. These features give the BRZ astonishing levels of performance on fast corners, in heavy braking zones and in both wet and dry conditions.

The 2022 Subaru BRZ features a new multimedia infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android® Auto integration, SiriusXM®, and other available apps. The larger, upgraded 8.0-inch touchscreen gives you quick fingertip access to all your favorite music, news, podcasts and more.

Fully Digital Instrument Cluster

For the new model year, the BRZ now features a driver-configurable, fully digital instrument cluster. The cluster features a central tachometer and integrated g-force meter, as well as adaptive Sport and Track modes, putting all the most important vehicle performance information front and centre for a fully engaged driving experience.
